Hi! Remember me? The girl that sometimes updates her blog? Nope? Well I don’t blame you, it’s been a little quiet over here lately.
I’d love to tell you an elaborate tale about how I’ve been off doing fancy stuff, or travelling the globe. But I’ve not been. And don’t worry, I’m not going to give you one of those ‘sorry about the lack of posts’ posts. Honestly, I’m not sorry, I’ve enjoyed having some time away from my laptop.
In all honestly, I’ve fallen a little bit out of love with this blog. Lisahh-Jayne isn’t the same blog I initially set up. Initially this was a beauty blog, but over the last five years I’ve moved away a little from beauty, and have developed other interests and maybe my blog doesn’t quite reflect that anymore. So I decided a little while ago to have a complete new redesign, and now it’s nearly finished, I’m excited to get back on with blogging again.
So until my fancy new redesign appears, I thought I’d talk to you about a few recent happy things.
In July Chris and I drove up north as we often do, but this time we weren’t only visiting his family, but we went to watch my dad graduate from his masters degree. It was only three years ago I graduated myself, but it was an amazing day. It was nice to be the one watching someone else graduate, and I was amazingly proud of my dad, considering that my mum was very ill in the middle of his masters degree he’s done fantastically.
Then in the same week as my dad graduated, Chris’s sister had a baby. So last weekend we drove back up north, this time to meet our new niece, Penny. She was only 3 weeks old when we met her, and so so tiny. She cried the whole time I held her, but we’re both pretty smitten with her. It’s a shame we live so far away from Chris’s family because I feel like we’re going to miss out on so much of her life, but it just gives us an excuse to spoil her rotten every time we see her instead!
Other than those big life events, I’ve been busy running around doing bits and pieces. Oh and my kitty Victor turned one, which we celebrated by giving him some treats which by looking at him, I don’t think he needed. Last weekend it was my friends birthday and we went pottery painting as something different to do. As a lover of crafty things I was looking forward to it, but I had no idea how much fun it would be! We were there for a couple of hours and it just whizzed by. Then after my pottery painting I went to a rally Jeremy Corbyn was speaking at in Milton Keynes on Saturday. I ended up getting to meet him and completely fangirling about it as you do.
So anyway, that’s a few happy things from me. What’s new with you?
