About 6 months ago I moved to Milton Keynes, and while I’ve spent years and years visiting here, I’m not massively familiar with the area. Growing up I always thought of Milton Keynes as just the shopping centre or the cinema, it’s only over the last few years I’ve discovered more than just shopping, and since I’ve moved I’m enjoying finding more independent restaurants and cafes than the chain restaurants I’ve been to for years.
Recently I saw another Milton Keynes blogger, Amanda Alston, talk about a visit to Fourth & Fifth on her Instagram, and after she recommended the pancakes to me I just had to go along and try these out.
With a little bit of a wait for a table I had an opportunity to admire the decor of Fourth & Fifth, as I’m a little bit obsessed with interiors. What I loved most about the decoration was the colour scheme, I love grey black and yellow together, and my lounge is decorated the same. I also loved the use of sunflowers everywhere, mostly because that’s my favourite flower!
Chris is a massive full English fan, any excuse to have one and he’ll have it, where as I often find they can be quite greasy, so it wasn’t a surprise that he ordered the fourth & fifth breakfast – but without eggs as he’s not a fan. I’m guilty of food envy, and I definitely had some when I saw Chris’s food come. This didn’t look like it was greasy like some fry ups can be, and the sourdough toast looked lovely.
From my first visit I really enjoyed Fourth & Fifth. The food was delicious, the decor was lovely, and it had a great relaxed weekend brunch vibe about it. I’ll definitely be coming back again, and I’m quite tempted by their bottomless brunch menu!
