Anxiety is something I was diagnosed with when I was 23. My mum had just had a stroke a few months before, and although she was home and everything was fine, I was completely panicked and overwhelmed by the whole thing. I would panic that something awful was going to happen again, and my fear of it all took over my life. My doctor eventually diagnosed me with anxiety, and things seemed to escalate quickly, soon the simplest of tasks seemed impossible to do.

You might have seen from this blog post that I’ve had bit of a crazy year. In that year, I sold my flat, moved back to my parents, and now I’m in the process of buying (and hopefully completing next week!) on my own new flat. The sale has felt like it’s taken forever, and I’ve already dedicated hours to my Pinterest boards on how I want to decorate the place. For the first time in nearly a year, I’m sat here writing a blog post. Remember when I used to write a blog? When I used to post regularly and tell you witty anecdotes about my life? Well you might have forgotten I ever did that, because I’ve not blogged properly in a year.

Well, the short version of the story is that I’ve had a pretty awful year, and well the blog just took a backseat while I was in my ‘sad Lisa’ phase. But that would make for a very short blog post now wouldn’t it? So grab a cuppa and let’s catch up.
