Anxiety is something I was diagnosed with when I was 23. My mum had just had a stroke a few months before, and although she was home and everything was fine, I was completely panicked and overwhelmed by the whole thing. I would panic that something awful was going to happen again, and my fear of it all took over my life. My doctor eventually diagnosed me with anxiety, and things seemed to escalate quickly, soon the simplest of tasks seemed impossible to do.Read more
For the first time in nearly a year, I’m sat here writing a blog post. Remember when I used to write a blog? When I used to post regularly and tell you witty anecdotes about my life? Well you might have forgotten I ever did that, because I’ve not blogged properly in a year.

Once upon a time you would always find me with a nose in a book forever reading. Then as I got older I fell out of love with reading a bit, particularly when I went to university when I had to read a lot of journals for my dissertation, reading for pleasure just wasn’t enjoyable anymore. Recently I’ve been trying to get back into reading again, particularly as I have a bookcase full of books that are just sitting waiting to be read, so I set myself a goal to read a book in September. Not only did I read one book, but I actually managed to read two, and something that helped was the Kobo Aura One.
