It’s been a while since I’ve written one of these happy type of blog posts, so I thought I’d fill you in on a few things I’ve been up to lately. So grab a cuppa, and lets have a chat!

Once upon a time you would always find me with a nose in a book forever reading. Then as I got older I fell out of love with reading a bit, particularly when I went to university when I had to read a lot of journals for my dissertation, reading for pleasure just wasn’t enjoyable anymore. Recently I’ve been trying to get back into reading again, particularly as I have a bookcase full of books that are just sitting waiting to be read, so I set myself a goal to read a book in September. Not only did I read one book, but I actually managed to read two, and something that helped was the Kobo Aura One.
Two Years After Stroke
The 12th October 2014 is a date I’m always going to remember, for one of the worst reasons. Two years ago today, my mum had a stroke, caused by a nasal spray, although at the time I didn’t really know that’s what was happening.
The Snug Hitchin
I’ve always been a girl who loves her food, but recently I’ve had a much bigger interest in food, which you may have noticed on my little blog. Since I’ve moved out of my parents house I’ve been cooking a lot more, I’m still no Gordon Ramsay, but I’m enjoying experimenting. As well as cooking my own food, I’m also enjoying the cooking of others a lot more too. When it comes to eating out I’m usually quite boring, and I tend to stick to big chain restaurants where I know what I like, but lately I’ve been trying to get out and explore more of what’s on offer around me and where I live.
Afternoon Tea at Moggerhanger Park
A few months ago way back in July during the middle of a heatwave, my friend Gemma invited me out for afternoon tea at Moggerhanger Park. She wrote this amazing blog post on the experience, and because I’m a terrible person who can’t write about things after they’ve recently happened, I’m writing about the whole experience now, in October. Well done Lisa.
